Danielle Khan Da Silva
Filmmaker Environmentalist
Award-winning South Asian-Portuguese storyteller, National Geographic Explorer, and Founder of Photographers Without Borders. Creator of the Reclaim Power mentorship program, with projects spanning Indigenous science, ocean guardianship, and interspecies communication. Published by National Geographic, The Guardian, Patagonia, The Economist, and the United Nations. Recipient of the Sony Alpha Female award and named a Canadian Top 30 Under 30 Sustainability Leader.
Filipe Duarte Santos
President of the National Council for Environment and Sustainable Development
A pioneer in climate science and sustainability in Portugal, he is President of the National Council for Environment and Sustainable Development (CNADS) and Professor Emeritus at the University of Lisbon. Author of numerous scientific works and books on climate change, he has contributed to the IPCC, advised the Portuguese government on environmental policy, and received both the University of Lisbon Prize and the Quercus Environment Award for lifetime achievement.
José Soudo
Photographer, researcher, and essayist
He has been teaching at Ar.Co – Centre for Art and Visual Communication since 1983 and lectured for over two decades at the School of Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, where he helped establish and coordinate the Photography programmes. Holding a Master’s in Applied Photography and a Specialist title in Audiovisuals and Media Production, his career has been devoted to teaching, curating, and critically reflecting on the photographic image in Portugal.
João Mariano
Photographer
Photographer and art director, he lives between Aljezur and Lisbon and is the founder of the agency 1000olhos – Image and Communication. Throughout his career, he has developed artistic and editorial projects focused on territory, identity, and memory, with notable books such as Guerreiros do Mar, Costa do Mar, Entre as Águas, O Conhecido Desconhecido, and Estiagem. His work has been published and exhibited in Portugal and abroad, and is part of various public and private collections.
Clara Azevedo
Fujifilm Ambassador, Documentary Photographer
Fujifilm Ambassador and documentary photographer, Clara Azevedo has published 11 books and exhibited widely. She worked for Expresso newspaper, freelanced internationally, and served as Official Photographer to Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa (2016–2024).
Nuno Sá
Underwater Cameraman & Conservation Filmmaker
Nuno Sá is an award-winning underwater cameraman whose work includes the BBC’s Blue Planet II and National Geographic. Founder of Atlantic Ridge Productions, he has filmed marine life across five continents and received a BAFTA and Panda Award for his cinematography.
Jorge Bacelar
Photographer · Humanitarian · Veterinarian
Internationally recognized for his intimate and dignified portraits of rural life, Bacelar combines his profession as a veterinarian with a deep commitment to photography. His acclaimed photobook Ruralidades captures the resilience of farmers, families, and animals in the Portuguese countryside. Through exhibitions and publications, his work bridges the heart of rural communities with the contemporary art world.
nuno vasco rodrigues
Marine Biologist, Researcher & Underwater Photographer
Marine biologist and researcher at MARE IPLeiria, with a focus on fish ecology and author of three books. A certified diver since 2000, with over 1,500 hours underwater, he uses photography to reveal the wonders of marine life and raise awareness of threats such as climate change, overfishing, and pollution. His award-winning images have been published and exhibited internationally, inspiring action for the future of our oceans.
Frank Meo
Photographer’s Representative, Curator & Founder of PROJECTIONS NYC
Has represented photographers for over three decades as a mentor, consultant, and advocate, helping shape award-winning campaigns, exhibitions, and books worldwide. Founder of PROJECTIONS NYC, a global platform that has showcased more than 400 photographers—including Pulitzer and World Press winners—to an international creative audience.
Dörte Schneider Garcia
Green Consultant for Film & TV
Studied film editing and worked for nearly 20 years as an assistant director on various productions. In 2020, became a certified Green Consultant for film and TV and has since promoted sustainability across the European film industry. Founding member of the Portuguese Green Consultant Association and co-founder of LinDoMar, a local beach-clean-up initiative at the Óbidos lagoon.
Augusto Brázio
Documentary & Fine Art Photographer
Born in Brinches, Serpa, in 1964, Augusto Brázio studied at the Escola Superior de Belas Artes in Lisbon. Since the 1990s he has published over ten books, exhibited internationally, and won the Visão/BES Photojournalism Prize (2008). A former member of the Kameraphoto Collective and featured in RTP’s Entre Imagens, his recent work explores immigration, belonging, and the occupation of territory. He is represented by Galeria das Salgadeiras, with works in major public and private collections.
Luis Campos
Photographer and President of the Portuguese Council for Health and Environment
Born in Lisbon in 1955, he has been developing his artistic work since 1981, exhibiting in institutions such as MAAT, MACE, MEIAC, the National Museum of Natural History and the PLMJ Foundation. His work explores territory, memory and identity, and is represented in major national collections. Alongside his artistic practice, he maintains a distinguished medical career and currently serves as President of the Portuguese Council for Health and Environment.

Cecilie Hatløy is a photographer and visual communicator whose work focuses on translating ideas and emotions into compelling imagery. With a strong professional foundation and a distinctive creative voice, she explores photography as a tool for storytelling, connection, and meaning.

Fundado por José Farinha e Paulo Pimenta
Criado no Porto em 2020, o Kioskzine é um projeto editorial da Associação Cultural Dez Quinze que promove a fotografia como documento visual, espaço de diálogo e arquivo contemporâneo. Publicado em formato fanzine A5 com tiragem limitada, o projeto já reuniu mais de 18 autores e produziu filmes promocionais para cada edição. O Kioskzine procura ser acessível, provocador e aberto a todos os públicos, cruzando arte, sociedade e memória coletiva.
Rúben R. Dias

Editorial designer and researcher with a PhD in Design, he is a professor at ESAD—Matosinhos and associate at Itemzero. His work explores the intersection of typography, publishing, and craft through teaching, writing, and his own letterpress studio. Internationally recognized, he regularly leads workshops and lectures on editorial design and type culture.
José Caetano
Landscape Photographer
Portuguese landscape photographer based in Caldas da Rainha, recognized for his evocative long-exposure and sunset images published by National Geographic. A graduate of ESAD.CR – Escola Superior de Artes e Design, he explores the interplay of light, time, and emotion across Portugal’s natural landscapes.
Teresa Freitas
Photographer & Artist
Her work explores how color can transform the everyday into something cinematic, merging documentary and poetic approaches. She has collaborated with leading international brands such as Porsche, Netflix, and Pantone, and her first solo exhibition in Seoul attracted over 110,000 visitors. Her recent book Flower(s), published by Four Eyes Editions, is a long-term project investigating the cultural, symbolic, and economic roles of flowers in communities worldwide.
Ana Baião
Documentary Photographer & Photojournalist
Ana Baião has been a photojournalist at Expresso since 2000, after starting her career at O Século and contributing to the Diário de Notícias, O Independente, and the Associated Press. Awarded by the Portuguese Parliament in 2004, she has been documenting the Alentejo cante tradition since 2014, resulting in several books, including 10 Years of Cante (2024).
Nuno Rocha
Documentary Photographer & Visual Artist
A photographer and visual artist whose work bridges photography, sound, and video. With a background in Painting, his practice explores perception as a critical and responsible act towards reality. He has exhibited in museums and galleries across Portugal and abroad, with projects ranging from installation to cross-disciplinary collaborations in visual and performing arts. His most recent work, Jagozes: Continuity and Resistance (2024), co-authored with Pedro dos Reis, is a documentary photography book that reflects on cultural identity, memory, and resilience.
Alexandre Barão
Photographer and Author
Photographer and author of the book Photography with Digital Camera and Smartphone (FCA) and the project Blackout, One Night in the City, which resulted in both a book and an exhibition. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from IST and is a guest professor at IADE – Universidade Europeia. His work spans digital and analog photography, combining artistic practice with teaching.
Alina Zaharia
Photographic Artist
Born in Romania in 1981, she has lived in Portugal since 2008. She studied Management and Marketing at ISCAP, Porto, before turning to photography. In 2023, she completed a Master’s in Artistic Photography at IPCI, Lisbon. Her work has been shown in festivals, museums, and galleries across Portugal. In 2025, she was a finalist for the CC11 Photography Prize.
Vasco Trancoso
Physician, Street Photographer
Gastroenterologist, born in Lisbon and resident in Caldas da Rainha since 1983. Former President of the Board of the local hospital, he was awarded the City Medal (Gold Grade) for services to the community and, in 2025, the Medal of Merit of the Portuguese Medical Association.After retiring, he dedicated himself to street photography. He published the books 99 (2020) and 88 (2025), both distinguished and recognized at international photography awards and festivals.

Filmmaker & Photographer
Visual artist and surfer with over 15 years in cinema and audiovisuals. Founder of Swell Filmes, her award-winning documentaries (Amar o Mar, Xino – Uma Causa com Fibra) reflect a deep connection to the ocean, exploring identity, resilience, and transformation through the lens of film and photography.

Graphic Designer and Art Director for Film and Cinema
Graphic designer and art director with eighteen years dedicated to film and television marketing. Has created key art for directors such as Wim Wenders, Raúl Ruiz and Fernando Lopes, as well as Netflix’s first Portuguese series. Awarded Best Film Poster by the Portuguese Film Academy, with work included in The Big Screen – Film Posters of All Time and now held in the permanent collection of the Berlin State Museums’ Art Library.
Marisa Branco Fernandes
Artist, Photographer & Painter
Marisa Martins (Arte Branco) is a Lisbon-based artist, photographer, and painter whose work spans fashion photography, oil painting, and experimental mono prints. After studying Fine Arts in Germany, she has exhibited internationally, with her recent mono print series on Lisbon’s architecture gaining critical recognition.
Antonio Pedrosa
Documentray Photographer Hasselblad mster
photographer and curator with nearly three decades of practice, his work is rooted in documentary photography, exploring themes of social inequality and territory.His work has been published in national and international magazines and newspapers. In 2012, he received the Estação Imagem Photojournalism Prize for “Iraqis” and won the Hasselblad Masters Award in 2014 (Editorial).Based in Porto, he continues an active practice and founded COLECTIVO in 2014. At F/262, he brings a sharp and thoughtful perspective on photography today.
