Alexandre Barão — “Photography in Manual Mode”

Photographer, author and researcher, Alexandre Barão brings together photographic practice, teaching and reflection on the image.

He is the author of “Photography with Digital Camera and Smartphone”, published by FCA, and of the project “Blackout, A Night in the City”, which resulted in both a book and an exhibition. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and is an invited lecturer at IADE – Universidade Europeia.

Working across digital and analogue photography, Alexandre Barão brings to F/262 a clear, practical and accessible approach to the act of photographing.

On August 15, he will lead the workshop “Photography in Manual Mode”, at CEF – Photography Experimentation Centre, in Foz do Arelho.
